Using charcoal in painting is a kind of dry art medium which is made ground organic materials that are held together by a gum or wax binder. There is a specialization among artists and charcoal is one of them which is widely used by them. It has versatile properties such as the rough texture that leaves the temporary marks than other art medium. Artists can produce lines that are intensely black and easily removable and vulnerable to leave stains on paper. It can be used on any surface from smooth to a very coarse. Using fixatives are best with charcoal to harden its position and also prevent continuously erasing or rubbing off of the dry medium dusts.
